The Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs promotes the development of Pacific peoples in New Zealand in a way that recognises and reflects Pacific cultural values and aspirations. Its two main roles are to provide policy advice specifically to provide high quality advice conceerning key policies and issues for Pacific peoples; and communicate information and Government policy advice to and from Pacific communities and other government agencies.
