Activities:
Trade association representing businesses in the food and hospitality industry. The association represents the restaurant food service industry in various training providing advisory committees. We have an active role in disseminating information of interest to the industry on central and local government issues - liquor, safety, toxics, environment and labour relations. We conduct annual renumeration and financial performance surveys and produce guidelines and handbooks relating to many logistical areas. The association lobbies the government on issues of importance to the industry. We have facilitated many cost saving procedures for members and regularly distribute newsletters to them. We operate the 3-day national hospitality show in Auckland and the bi-annual foodservice south show in Christchurch, also the annual New Zealand culinary fare, the restaurant of the year competition and the annual famous chefs dinner, the hall of fame award and the annual business seminar series.
